Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the design, development and implementation of all moulds / tooling required to support the development of new products and existing product capacity expansion
- Support Product Development and Supply Chain Management in working with suppliers to procure the required mould tooling, investigating and implementing new innovations and industry best practices in mould design/construction, validation, and speed in overall execution
- Enhance and formalize relevant development inputs and strengthen overall supply contributions to innovations chain
- Work with Development Engineers to refine the design of molded parts for optimal manufacturing performance.
- Participate in design reviews and execute thorough DFM analysis for all molded parts
- Work with Molding Process Engineers to develop and troubleshoot the moulding processes
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 8-10 years experience in the injection molding industry, including part design, design and development of thermo plastic injection molds, mold flow analysis, and process troubleshooting. Experience with LSR or injection stretch blow molding a plus
- Familiarity with specifications and processing parameters of a wide range of polymer materials
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar, MS Office and MS Project
- Experience in development, validation, and process optimization of multiple tools / suppliers for single components
- Working knowledge of relevant FDA and ISO standards preferred
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
- A meticulous approach to quality and familiarity with FMEA/risk assessment
